The Novice Select team travelled to Tara, Ontario on January 21st to play in the Arran-Elderslie Novice Tournament.

After a very hard fought 1st game the outcome was a 2-0 loss to Arthur. But the Devils didn’t give up. They came back for Game 2 even stronger! Seven goals by Aiden McKillop sealed the deal for an 8-3 win against Durham.

Game 3 proved to be another strong effort by the entire team. With shut outs for both Evan Watson and Eric MacLennan-Nobrega and a hat trick for Nico Luzza, the Devils beat Hanover 4-0 to win the game and the consolation championship!!

Nick Tartaglia, Spencer Abbott, Nathanial Grist and Riley Stickler, the core defensemen, did a great job protecting the goalies all three games, as well as consistent hard play and teamwork by the whole squad for the entire tourney.
